Chris Foisey is Canada’s newly elected PADI AmbassaDiver and is a certified Instructor, technical diver and cave diver who for over 10 years has worked at Canada’s oldest PADI facility Dan’s Dive Shop. For 5 years in a row, he has received his PADI Elite Instructor award for actively creating and further developing divers. For the last 2 years Chris has been creating educational content under The Modern Diver Channel on social media with the mission to help educate and inspire Modern Divers. Collecting over 170,000 global social media followers he continues to push for high quality diver education as he leads the way both online and in his local community to further the sport of Scuba Diving.

Chris has recently partnered with PADI and became Canada’s main Ambassdiver to help promote scuba diving both within Canada and abroad. He has been featured on PADI’s social media accounts as well as on other news outlets and podcasts within North America and overseas. On platforms like TikTok and Instagram Chris answers questions from certified and noncertified divers about all topics related to the diving industry.
Chris is also a leader in the Niagara diving community working for over 10 years at PADI’s oldest training facility Dan’s Dive Shop in St Catharines, Ontario, and receiving his PADI Elite Instructor Award 5 years in a row. Chris also talks about how he has been training scuba divers in The Great Lakes with greater emphasis on modern equipment and training techniques helping to promote the conservation and discovery of our many beloved shipwrecks.
